Contractual Services Management…What Does That Mean?

Perhaps “third-party Human Resources” would be a good perspective. When a university reaches a larger size, it’s often better to leave certain services to the commercial market. We maintain all those contracts. Our former name was Auxiliary Services, but there are many auxiliary departments on campus (Student Housing, Printing, etc.), so our name was changed to better reflect what we do.

What does “Auxiliary” mean?

Auxiliary means we have no budget provided by the University, so we have to generate our own revenue. A portion of our revenue is then given back to other academic departments.

What Companies Are Contracted To Serve The Campus?

Coca-Cola, Midsouth Vending, Aramark Dining Services, Collegiate Licensing, Barnes & Noble, Caldwell & Gregory, CBORD, Off Campus Advantage

So You Only Handle Third-Party Contracts?

Not at all, we also maintain:

• The ID Center and everything the Ole Miss One Card touches
• Digital video recording systems for many campus entities
